Meet Jasmine, Utah, diagnosed 2018
"My husband and I started trying for our first baby back in August/September of 2017. By October I was pregnant. I tried to get in on my 9th week because the anticipation was killing me. But they said they wouldn't get me in before the 11th week. I was almost 12 weeks pregnant for my first check up and ultrasound. It was scary and exciting all at once. Within 5 minutes that feeling turned to shock and sadness. Watching my doctor concerned face while she was looking for the heartbeat is something I will never be able to forget.
She broke the news and I was scheduled immediately for a second ultrasound to confirm the news, followed by a D&C. I thought that was the end of it and I could start healing and moving forward, but on my forth week of weekly blood draws to check my HCG, my levels started going back up. That immediately led to multiple tests, CT's, MRI's, and ultrasounds. They scheduled me with an oncologist and I started weekly MTX. I did that for almost 4 months before I was cleared.
January 2018 was my first ultrasound where they told me I had a molar pregnancy and February 2018 is when I started chemo due to it becoming malignant. I just passed my one year check up and everything is still looking great. I am glad to be moving forward and doing my best to heal from all this."
